Here we have a painting that I thought would never get finished...originally scheduled to be finalized on May 13th for my birthday, she is now complete slightly late...Based on a character of mine named "Yasmae", here she is posing at her own B-Day party for all her friends and family at "Salsa's"...a well known lesbian bar located in Tie City.
Tech info...Totally Hand painted using Adobe Photoshop 6.0 with some filter work in post. Please note this is NOT a PHOTOGRAPHIC MANIPULATION. None of my works are...unless noted. The model used for this pose is unknown.

I can see how people mistake it for photo manipulation, though. I admit I thought that too when I first saw your work. Now that I know it's painted from scratch, it's even more impressive.

James, it is always a privilege to have a great comment from a master of erotica such as yourself. Yes, the critics are always unsure if it is or not a manipulation. I too have seen others work of wonders and also thought...nah...it's a manipulation on their part because it was flawless. But, they say it isn't and sometimes show the progression of the creation just as I do sometimes. Perhaps it's all because of the noticeable "COLOR?" of Adobe and the way it works. When an artist uses a digital tool as I do, it is rather easy to do manips...but why? Why not just do it the old fashioned way but use modern tools?...lol. My technique is rather tedious because I paint what I see...but usually with the exceptions of the backgrounds and objects just as in this one..."Happy Birthday Yasmae". Ah well, it's the only program I use predominately. And I really don't want to spend another year learning and new one...lol. And, truth be told...I don't even need Adobe version 6.0, if I remember correctly they had a version 3 that I started with...and that is all that I ever needed.
